The battle within
A storm inside, where silence screams,
the world seems lost, or so it seems.
The heart fights on, though hope is thin,
in darkness deep, the light begins.
A war of thoughts, a soul in strife,
the pain of dreams, the edge of life.
But through the tears and endless night,
A spark emerges, faint but bright.
The doubts may rage, the fears may grow,
but in the heart, a seed will sow.
For every fall, there’s strength to rise,
a new tomorrow in the skies.
So hold on tight, though winds may tear,
through every shadow, hope is there.
The battle fought, the victory near,
a brighter dawn will soon appear.
About the Author: Emina Tanović was born in Tuzla, where she completed her studies at the Medical High School.
She is currently a law student in Germany, in the Baden-Württemberg region.
For many years, she was a champion and a member of the national karate team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, competing across various age categories.
She has been writing since childhood, dedicating special attention to it during her high school years.
She has participated in various cultural and literary events across the Balkans.
Her poetry and prose have been recognized and awarded in numerous literary competitions throughout the Balkans.
