Unfulfilled Hours

The emotional distance

from here to there is

insurmountable,

it is hidden inside

twisted time,

and cycloidal hours.

Elderly people age

in silence

alongside their forgotten

visions, and

inside the invisible emptiness,

of their forgotten memories.

Dreams appear as images

in sepia tintypes,

located in old faded

picture albums

in forgotten attics.

I sit among the ebbing hours,

of lost time,

remembering my youth, and

my heart feels the emptiness

of unfulfilled hours.
